Episode 19 of Silver Buckshot: Too Young

Any thirteen-year-old girl who suddenly acquires a fourteen-year-old boyfriend is sure to be self-conscious, even if she’s a princess. Doubly so if most of their meals are taken in front of at least fifty guests in the palace banquet hall.

But it’s June of 1972, and the gods have plenty more in store. They have ordained that fourteen-year-old Donny Osmond, a teen heartthrob whose voice hasn’t even broken yet, will break into Casey Kasem’s American Top Forty #36 during lunch with a new hit: “Too Young.” It’s just not fair!

And that’s not all. After everyone has practically keeled over from the effort of not laughing at Frank and Flavia, little Michael Jackson, with an even higher-pitched soprano than Donny Osmond’s, breaks into the Top Forty at #33 with “I Wanna Be Where You Are.”

Episode 17 of Silver Buckshot: Creatures of the Night

In Episode 17 of Silver Buckshot, Creatures of the Night, Flavia gets up at 2:00 AM for the scheduled meeting with Frank’s vampire pals, Maria and Charlotte. Both girls are far too pretty and Frank cares about them far too much. Oh, and they’re too thirsty for comfort, too. Of course they are.

People who become vampires as children never grow up, so Maria and Charlotte have been thirteen years old for seventy years, while Flavia has only been thirteen for a few months. It’s not fair!

Episode 16 of Silver Buckshot: Life Imitates Art

It’s movie night in the palace in Episode 16 of Silver Buckshot, Life Imitates Art. Tonight’s movie is The Godfather, which is being shown for the first time in the kingdom, though it’s been a smash hit for months on the California side of the gateway.

Movie night is open to the public in spite of the assassination attempts yesterday and the day before that. Is murder on the menu?

This episode is an offer you can’t refuse!

Episode 15 of Silver Buckshot: School Daze

In School Daze, Episode 15 of Silver Buckshot: Magic, Mystery, and a Most Aggravating Boyfriend, Flavia has her first lesson with the elderly Dr. Wright, whose title isn’t “Royal Wizard” only because he refuses to accept a title.

At lunch, Frank learns that his two vampire pals, Charlotte and Maria, want to see him after tonight’s movie, but didn’t say why. Flavia says nothing, but holding movie night as usual after assassination attempts the previous two days seemed like plenty without throwing vampire girls into the mix as an encore!
