In Episode 10 of Silver Buckshot, Pistole Italiane, Flavia, still shaken from the attempt on her life, returns to her rooms in the company of a new set of guards, her boyfriend Frank, and Frank’s older sister Louisa, who thinks a mere princess isn’t good enough for her baby brother.
That sounds restful, right? Stripping and cleaning the Italian pistols plundered from the dead assassins fits right in with the rest of the action.

In Episode 9 of Silver Buckshot, Fifty-Dollar Bill, another attempt is made on Princess Flavia’s life when she and Frank are in the library. She survives because … but that would be telling. But I’ll note that her would-be assassins carried silenced pistols, which for library murders is only proper.
And, wait, doesn’t Flavia see the future? How could she let herself get caught like this? Is her talent unreliable?

Well, not the screaming. Not out loud, anyway, because Frank and Louisa are close and Flavia feels outnumbered enough already. And did I mention that Louisa is a werewolf?

The all-clear sounds before lunch, so Flavia and Frank are no longer confined to her suite.
You’d think that bathing and changing for a luncheon, even a royal luncheon, would be no great trick, but Flavia’s polio-weakened legs and her immensely deep claw-footed bathtub present a challenge.
Under normal circumstances, her maid would have assisted her, but Miss Parmalee turned out to be a traitor and is now dead. For obvious reasons, Flavia doesn’t want Frank as her bath attendant, so she attempts the necessary acrobatics alone.
